The best thing about living with five other cats is that I always have access to the all-you-can-eat buffet. Diet, what diet? My humans had a somewhat difficult time blending all six of us together. One cat with many is one thing but many cats with many cats is a totally different game. It took my humans from July of last year (2017) till October to get everyone use to one another. Three months might not sound like a whole lot of time but believe me, that’s a long time in cat years. They would let the new three cartoon characters (Huey, Dewey, and Louie) out during the day but have to keep them separate from the three of us at night. I did not much mind any of this because I was used to living with in large cat groups. However, Benny and Sparkles were not having that great of a time. Benny loved the Bengals (Huey, and Dewey) but despised Louie. Sparkles only likes Huey because he is always sweet.
I’m not sure if it is due to old age (I can’t believe I will be turning 15 years old on February 28th) or I secretly love the fact that more cats mean more of everything I love such as food, treats, litter boxes, food and treats or maybe I’ve just grown soft in my aged self? I do not know why, but I love living with five other cats. That diet thing is not so important when you have five other cats driving you crazy. I’m not saying that the humans have forgotten about me. NO, not by a long shot. I still get my two shots of insulin each day to control my diabetes. It is just a little bit more difficult to manage my weight when you have five other mouths that need feeding.
With spring just around the corner, I will have to start taking measures into my own paws if I want to shed this weight. I don’t want to have to go through another hot summer with all this extra baggage that I’m carrying around. Maybe, with five other cats I can find one or two to help me out with my exercise regime. Only time will tell, I guess.

"Of all the [cat] toys available, none is better designed than the owner himself. A large multipurpose plaything, its parts can be made to move in almost any direction. It comes completely assembled, and it makes a noise when you jump on it."
