Part 1 - Introduction:

Following the extreme honour of being chosen as a Purina One Calendar Cat, Miss July 2010, my very regal, demanding stuck up (and very ungrateful, for a rehomed cat!) Himalayan Lynx, Little Dumpty Roo has seen her life changed. Firstly by the product, which really did benefit her health and appearance and also by the experience which turned her into a superstar cat. She has been filmed and had an exclusive session with a world famous photographer and other companies have been interested in using her for advertising their products.

To say that she is a diva is an understatement; she is very exacting in what she will and will not do and has, by stealth, trained me to service her every whim and fancy. I refer to her as ‘Madam’, as that is what she can be - a right little madam. I have been made fully aware by her that I am privileged to be allowed to be employed as her staff.

She refers to me as Maid and my new duties now she is a superstar include organising her social diary for her filming and photography sessions and for people who come to call on her. Also, as P.A, I answer her fan mail on her behalf as she is too busy snoozling on her designer duvet getting her 23 hours a day beauty sleep in. I must also ensure that she is groomed to her satisfaction with a show-cat shine on her whiskers before she presents herself to her public. That is if she can be bothered to emerge for the day from her duvet or from behind the bed in the back room which is her private sanctuary.

Oh dear. I never know with Madam how she will behave. Some people she treats as if they are there to violently murder her and those people that I have reservations about, she can be as sweet and cooperative as you like, she almost flirts with them. I think her middle names should include contrary and condescending!

But if Madam is not happy or comfortable, then whether it’s being filmed, a photo being taken or someone stroking her, the action is stopped. Her requirements come first. She has to be confident in what she does and what we do with her. However, we have been amazed at how she has almost seemed to enjoy most of the attention she has received.

Occasionally I see her eyeing someone up with extreme suspicion for no reason at all, and I wonder what mischief is going through her air-head mind. Normally that person is the one being most kind and gentle with her! She has growled and refused to be social on two occasions with visitors, (both professional photographers, how embarrassing!!) who have been nothing less than perfect, so she has been left alone to get whatever she is grumpy about, out of her system until she feels she can deliver the perfect picture! Madam is in charge. She calls the shots and will never be made to do anything or be with any person who she is not secure, comfortable or happy with.

Divas have to be accommodated and I have a full time professional furry one with attitude on my hands!

Little Dumpty Roo,  lives here at Tom Cat Towers in Stafford with Willi Whizkas, a ginger Maine Coon cat and Dippi-Duck, a severely brain damaged and physically disadvantaged Ginger Persian. She derisively refers to them as ‘The Gingie-crew’. Madam has put paw to pen and has put together her musings as Her Royal Mewness as she became known when she was a hit sensation on YouTube. I have also put my thoughts as her Maid on her day’s musings, - just to put the record straight……
