Bucko is a black and white cat about 5 years old. When he was a teen he got a job babysitting at the neighbours. When his person called for him to come home she was often told he was sleeping with the baby and would come home when he awoke.

He also puts out a gourmet cookbook called ‘The Bucko Café’. This is a collection of easy tasty recipes for humans who like to use one easy basic recipe for a zillion different varieties.

At present Bucko is training a neighbourhood tabby (Dudley) who says the food at ‘Bucko Café’ beats anything his humans give him and so he comes through the cat flap early every day - sucks up any biscuits Bucko left in his dish and then zonks out on someone's bed for the day. Dudley is very young and sometimes gets rambunctious. When he gets out of line and 'plays' too rough Bucko cuffs him soundly until he settles down.

Bucko is in the process of writing his autobiography. He has lead a very interesting life and regularly visits all the nearby homes to see if they need any help exterminating mice or even babysitting. He has developed a series of ‘catis-thenics’ to help other kitties stay in shape. There is the ‘Roly-Poly’ when they just wrap paws around each other and roll across the yard. Then they do 'Catch the invisible mouse' which involves visualizing a tasty morsel on four little legs and then springing at it several times. When they get tired they just do ‘Starey Cat’ where they sit and stare at each other until they fall over. . As you can see Bucko is a very busy cat but likes to share his wisdom with the feline world.

Bucko sends his greetings and says how much he enjoys the Mews.

Dogs Come when Called

"Dogs come when called. Cats take a message and get back to you."

"Of course, every cat is really the most beautiful woman in the room."
