A heart-warming tale about Mittens, a little lady with a surplus of toes, who found love and a warm home, second time around.

When we first moved to our house, Mittens belonged to a neighbour. After about 2 years, they asked us to take care of her because they were moving and they felt they ‘couldn’t’ take her with them. Mittens is about 9-ish now we think and she is very beautiful, grey and white in colouring, and very fussy.

Talk about a cat’s cat! She is so moody but she loves kids, although she won’t come into the house when there is another cat around.  She is one smart girl for sure.

We think that she winters in a couple of houses down the street, and spring and summer sees her return to our garden, where she sleeps to beat the heat, and occasionally to mooch food from us. If we don’t have what she wants when she visits then she will tell us off and trot away! Her tastes change all the time

She knows we will take care of her medically and luckily she is almost always healthy. No cat fights – she is one savvy lady!!!! Having extra toes doesn’t seem to bother her and she gets about with no trouble at all.
