Casey's Cousins

Casey Whenever I go away, whether it's somewhere in the UK or abroad, I can't help finding cats.  Sometimes, these cats are very friendly, and at other times, they disappear into the bushes.  This section has pictures of the cats that will let me take their photos - they are Casey's Cousins.  If you go on holiday and you encounter cats that are new to you, do send in your pictures - make sure they are good, clear pictures. If possible, add a name and age (if known), and where the picture was taken.

I'll add them to this section and we'll see how many cousins Casey has around the world!

DuchessDuchessWe met Duchess this May when we went to Cornwall for a few days.  Living in a converted chapel near St. Austell, at 19 3/4 years of age, Duchess was deaf ,  cranky and very vocal.  A beautiful cat, she allowed me to stroke her before she went off for her breakfast.

The Chapel Guest House has been exquisitely converted to a very high specification.  Owners, Chris and Wendy, are a very friendly couple, very knowledgeable about the area.  Wendy provided the most heavenly of breakfasts!

BaileyBaileyBailey greeted Lawrence and I one evening as we parked the car in the carpark of a beautiful restaurant, The Waterwheel Inn, just a short drive from where we were staying near St Austell.  I was struck by how much he resembled my lovely old cat, Garfield.  And just like Garfield, he was very friendly, and ready for a belly rub and a good scritchety scratch behind his ears.

At 11 years of age, he was the outside meeter and greeter for visitors to the restaurant, while inside, a 4-year-old black retriever called 'Kernow' which is Cornish for Cornwall, kept an eye - when he wasn't sleeping, that is - on all the diners as they ate.

The Very Best Toy for Cats

"Of all the [cat] toys available, none is better designed than the owner himself. A large multipurpose plaything, its parts can be made to move in almost any direction. It comes completely assembled, and it makes a noise when you jump on it."
