BelleSuch a loving little thing, as pretty as can be,
You came to share your life with us and brought such joy to me.

Although you had a problem, you learnt your nose to blow,
And did so well for weeks and weeks as all who loved you know.

You brought about such changes, turned my world around,
I’ll miss my silent shadow, your joyful greeting bound.

In you I found a special friend, a soul-mate clad in fur,
And when I sit at home at night I’ll miss your humming purr.

You know how much I loved you, how much I’ll miss you too,
But there was nothing left to try, no more that we could do.

Be at peace my baby, your struggle here is done,
May you find rest and no more pain my darling little one.

Such a tiny little thing, you meant the world to me,
Now there’s an empty space inside where sweet Belle used to be.

A Morning Kiss

A morning kiss, a discreet touch of his nose landing somewhere on the middle of my face.
Because his long white whiskers tickled, I began every day laughing.
